My bella sistah Christi sent this card to me. It was one of her first bella's. I am very honored. I think my first bella was nursabella. I love the colors of this card. Thanks Christi!
Analynn had another birthday party yesterday. It was for a little girl in her class. It was at the "Young Chef's Academy". She had a great time. I took this picture outside. It is amazing what natural sunlight will do for your projects!
Last night after we went to dinner Rob and I took the kids to Fontainebleau State Park. The park is on the banks of Lake Pontchartrain. Many people around the country do not understand why we want to stay in place that is in danger of another Hurricane. This is part of the reason. Rob and I both swam in this lake as children. I want my kids to experience some of the same thing we experienced. Also no where else in the country are the people as friendly. We met several people at the lake and started talking to them. You talk to them like they are old friends. This is why I stay.
I made this card yesterday. I used last weeks SCS sketch challenge. The paper is from the new scrapbook store Scrapasurus. They open on April 2nd. I am so excited. Dee and Felix the owner's are so nice. I hope they will carry stampingbellas soon.
This is the card I made for SCS's sketch challenge. I used the "Flowers for You" StampinUp designer paper. The stamp set is Merci from StampinUp. The colors are Certainly Celery, Regal Rose, Lovely Lilac and Tempting Turquoise.
I am so excited! I love to stamp! More than stamping I love to share my love of stamping with everyone. Lots of my friends get happy mail because I love sharing my stamped cards. Yesterday when I got back from Baton Rouge I went to see how the new Scrapbook store called "Scrappersaurus" was coming along. The grand opening is April 2nd. I met Dee and Felix the owners. I spoke with Dee about teaching some classes. She said to bring in some things I would make in a class. I would love to teach a bella stamping class. I bought some paper and decided to make some bella cards with my new designer paper. What do you think? Would you take my bella class? If this happens it will be one of my dreams come true.
Last weekend we gave my cousin David's fiancee a bridal shower. Laura, my sister Stephanie and I put it together. We had about 35 people there. I made Brandi 30 of these thank you notes. Next time when I am mass producing I will not use so many layers. It took all day to make them. I put them in an altered lunch box tin that I forgot to take a pictures of. The shower was Sunday and I finished them on Sunday morning. I need to get better at doing things ahead of time. Brandi loved them.
Saturday I received my blog candy from Kristine's blog. I was so excited as I did not have any of the candy. She sent me 2 Copic Markers, CHF stamp, Prisma paper and SU's crystal effects. I can not wait to go play.
Hope everyone has a very Happy Easter. I have really enjoyed going to Holy Week services by myself. I feel like I really got a lot out this week. Thank you Karin for sharing with me. After Hurricane Katrina the Hyacinthe were blooming everywhere the following spring. I had never seen so many blooming. Now there is a lot of construction around here and not as many Hyacinthe. They are so beautiful. I keep taking pictures of them.
These are the thank you notes I made for nursing supervisor. I got the designer paper and ribbon from Michael's. I also used SU's Regal Rose and Rose Red. I used Creating Memories cutting system to cut out the ovals. Hope you like.
