My good friend Andria let me use this set before she ever used it herself. What a great friend. I made this card for the Card Sketch on SCS. The set is SU's Baby Jesus is Born. After I had taken the picture and saw it on the computer I realized it was kinda of plain and probably needed a little something else.
I think that would be a colorful drink especially here on Bourbon Street. The colors for yesterday's SCS color challenge were Bashful Blue, Old Olive and More Mustard. I had just received the SU Dog-Gone It set the other day and was anxious to use it. I do not have many Get Well cards and needed one for my aunt who is probably going to need a hip replacement. This one is going to you Big Ida!
Last night while I was watching the Saints game I made this tin for Analynn's teacher. It helps to be doing something with my hands when I am watching a Saints game so I do not start throwing things at the TV. I am going to let her bring it to Mrs. Betsy today so she can enjoy it for the next couple of weeks. I got the paper, ribbon and paint can at Michael's this weekend. I was able to use my alphabet die on the cuttelbug. I am getting a lot of use out of it lately.
I made this card for the weekly Paper Pretties challenge. I missed the first week. This was for a sketch challenge. After I finished the card I realized I had forgot the green card stock behind the lemon designer paper and could not get it apart without tearing the paper. I found these little strawberries at scrapbook store in Baton Rouge and glued them to some silver brads. I do not like the sentiment. I could have done a better job.
A trip to see Mimi means a trip to Michael's and the local scrapbook store. Here are my goodies. I also got two of the larger tins and helped Caroline decorate one and made another for a birthday present for one of Analynn's friends. I had been looking for a tiger to make some LSU cards and since we are #2 in the country I am really feeling the need to make some purple and gold cards. Well off to play.
I got this cute RAK from Kristine yesterday along with some stamped images. I was not interested in buying this bella before but now that I see it in person I really like it. Thanks My Favorite MOJO Queen, Kristine.
This is another card for my sister. I am going to give them to her this weekend. I am bringing my stamping stuff to visit my mom this weekend. Not sure what the storm over Florida is going to do so we may have to evacuate there anyway. We are saying our prayers it will not come this way. I used the SU Heartfelt Thanks set. The colors are Basic Black and Going Gray.
I have been playing around with the way I take pictures of my cards. Not sure if I like this style. I do like the natural light. I used Chocolate Chip, Really Rust and River Rock. I got to use some of my new Designer paper from SU called Apple Cider. I dyed white grosgrain ribbon with the River Rock classic ink pad just running it over it.
On SCS today's challenge was a technique challenge. The 2,5,7,10 box was the new technique. I used the retired SU Tags So Much set. I used Pumpkin Pie card stock and the SU Creepy Crawly Designer Paper. Yesterday Rob bought me an Alphabet die for my Cuttlebug and I wanted to do a project using it. Hope you like what I came up with. I used some May Ribbon also.
