True Friend

I made this card for today's Card Sketch challenge on SCS.  I wanted to use some of the SU's In Colors.  I used Purely Pomegranate, Blue Bayou, Wild Wasabi and Marigold Morning.  I am trying to make several cards using the same set.  You know get my money's worth. Still very hot here.  Gives you reason to stay inside and stamp.  What housework?

Groovy Sky

Today color challenge was to us Groovy Guava and Soft Sky.  I like these two colors together and I think next time I would use Chocolate Chip to mat.  The set is from SU's winter mini.  It is called True Friend.  I am anxiously waiting for my scallop punch from SU to arrive.  It should be here on Thursday.  Thera are a lot of things you can do with the True Friend set and the scallop punch.

I am BACK!

This is the card from SCS that I cased for the Featured Stamper Challenge.  I like this challenge a lot.  It basically gives you your idea, you are just changing it up a little bit.  Sorry I have not posted lately but Analynn started school and then I had a party for Analynn with some of her school friends and then all of our family over for a Meatballs and Spaghetti dinner.  We had a great time.  Everything is almost cleaned up so I NEEDED to stamp something and decided to to the challenge for today.  Here is my card.

My Baby is 3 years old.

Timothy had a very rough start to life but is now health boy.  This was one of my favorite pictures of him as a baby.  Today is Timothy's 3 rd birthday.  He is truly a miracle and one of my greatest achievements.  I have been blessed with 2 great children.

My first Card Candy

A couple of weeks ago I stamped some Bella images for my new friend Kimm and look what I got in the mail  yesterday.  It is so pretty I do not want to ruin it on a card.  Thank you very much Kimm.

Still practicing faux sewing

I got the new set from the SU winter mini and was excited about it already being die cut that I was able to quickly get to stamping with it.  I used the colors from this weeks SCS color challenge.  The colors were Sahara sand, Bayou blue and Chocolate chip.  Now what New Orleanian would not like Bayou Blue.

Scraps

I have been teaching classes now for 10 months and I have a box full of scraps.  I am trying to use the scraps before cutting a new piece of card stock.  The layout comes from the SCS sketch challenge.  I have a very busy week with the kids birthday parties and school starting sorry for not posting as often.  I will do better next week.

Go Saints Go!

Go Saints!  In New Orleans we love our Saints.  We have never been to the Super Bowl and usually have a bad season but last year we were one game shy of the Big One.  I made this card in honor of our beloved Saints.  Doesn't everyone think of the Saints when you see Black and Gold?  I enjoyed making this card.

My black ink keeps smearing

We are back from Orange Beach.  The kids had a great time with my sister's family.  My sister also found out just how high maintenance my 3 year old son can be.  I was having stamping withdrawals and could not wait to do today's SCS Featured Stamper challenge.  Here is what I came up with.  Lately I have been having problems  with my black ink smearing all of the time.  My faux stitching needs some work or it might be the 103 degree weather we are having in southern Louisiana today.

The 6th of the Month Swap

Timothy loves this card.  He has it on his bookcase.  He loves monkeys.  He is my little monkey.  He jumps all over the furniture.  It drives me crazy.  This is a card from Melissa Peters.  She is in a swap with me for the next 6 months where we send 5 others a card on the 6th of the month.  It is nice to get homemade cards and not as many bills.
